"Every finish line is the beginning of a new race"

My summer in New York City is coming to an end and I can't help but think about all of the people I have met, the things I have learned, and the experience I had. Two months flew by faster than I could have imagined, much faster than I had wished, but you know what they say; "time flies when you're having fun." Boy, did I have fun.

This experience would not have been the same if I wasn't able to live with my mink, my best friend Nicole. While we had our share of arguments, as every friendship does, living with her made the experience that much more worthwhile. I was also blessed by rooming with Miss Cassandra Maxwell and Miss Valerie Evans. The four of us honestly fit together like a puzzle, each adding a little something special to our suite in 1302. We spent so many endless nights laughing until we peed our pants (literally Val), gossiping till all hours, unfortunately shedding a few tears, but mostly; living every moment to the absolute fullest. We wined and dined like the princesses we are, had VIP tables at the most exclusive spots in NYC, never waited in a line, and we treated with respect by everyone we met. It's safe to say that we took the most that these two months had to offer us.

I've had the most amazing summer of my life and although I'm sad that it's coming to an end, I have so much to look forward to. For those of you who don't know, I've been offered to move to Bologna, Italy for a year to be an Au Pair, which I have obviously accepted!! I leave for Bologna on Wednesday September 14th and although the nerves are starting to set in, I can NOT wait for this next adventure. Which leads me to why I have created this blog. I hope those I love will choose to follow me on my journey and live vicariously through me!!

Now it's time to finish off my internship on a strong note, say farewell to my new friends in New York, and move back to good ol' North Haven to soak up my friends and family before jetsetting to Italia! I hope to see as many people as I can before I leave!!

Best wishes & God Bless!
